Speech recognition and Qwen3-TTS now run on the GPU in programs bundled with the app: Qwen3-ASR in llama.cpp and Qwen3-TTS in qwen3-tts-ggml, with Metal on a Mac and Vulkan on Windows. Windows gains Qwen3-TTS and runs the local speech on a discrete GPU of any vendor, no longer only NVIDIA. Whisper large-v3-turbo on MLX is gone; a Mac with less memory gets Qwen3-ASR 0.6B.
After updating, prepare the speech recognition model again, and Qwen3-TTS if you use it, on the Models page of the settings (about 1.0 to 2.5 GB for recognition and 1.2 GB for Qwen3-TTS). Until then, local speech recognition is not ready. The folders an earlier version made for the old runtimes, mlx-audio-runtime on a Mac and cuda-speech-runtime on Windows, are no longer used and can be deleted from the app's data folder.
